The first target is a formula (Mifflin-St Jeor with your activity level), so it is a starting point, not a fact. Open Settings › Goals and profile and tap Calculate a suggestion to see how it is built, or set your own number. Every Monday, once you have logged at least 10 days and weighed in 4 times in two weeks, Tugga suggests a corrected target from what you actually ate and how your weight moved. You always decide.
Open iOS Settings › Apps › Tugga and check that Camera, Microphone and Speech Recognition are allowed. "Say what you ate" needs on-device speech recognition for your language; if your iPhone lacks it, Tugga says so instead of showing a silent button. Photographing your plate needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence.
In the Health app, check that Tugga may read Active energy, Resting energy and Sleep. Apple Watch syncs to Health in batches, so today's figures can lag by up to an hour. With "Count training" turned on, the Today screen tells you when nothing has arrived yet.
Tugga looks it up in Open Food Facts. If the product is missing there, point the camera at the nutrition label instead; Tugga reads it and saves the product on your phone.
Turn on iCloud sync in Settings on both phones, signed in to the same Apple Account. Your log, foods, meals and profile follow. Weights and energy that came from Apple Health do not sync through Tugga; Health moves them itself.
Settings › Data and privacy. Export writes a CSV to Files. Erase everything asks you to type ERASE, writes a CSV copy first, and then removes everything from the phone and from iCloud sync.
No. Tugga shows numbers and patterns from what you log. The caffeine guide quotes EFSA's published levels for reference. Talk to a doctor or dietitian about your own situation, especially if you are pregnant, have a heart condition or a history of disordered eating.
Tugga collects nothing about you. The full policy is at /tugga/privacy/.
